Lean Essentials Breakfast Event

Scottish Enterprise
Technology & Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, 99 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1RD
Friday, November 6, 2015 - 08:30 to 11:30

This event provides an introduction to lean thinking and will also help you to review past deployment and success of lean.

Improving productivity in your business can help to reduce production costs and lead to a more competitive business. Focusing on adding value through applying lean techniques leads to:

improved quality
Improved cost and delivery performance
Increased capacity
Lean implementations are often reported to falter or not deliver as expected. This event is aimed at a return to, and outline of, lean essentials. We will recap on the fundamental principles and elements that hold the potential to transform an organisation.

We will also revisit the key success factors supporting lean implementation and lean benefit capture.

Why should you attend?

This workshop will give you the opportunity to step back from your current operations, review the essential implementation elements of lean, and assess the way forward for your organisation. You should attend if any of the following apply:

You want to more fully understand and deploy lean
Your rate of progress with lean has been slower than expected
Your progress with lean is positive but lacks tangible benefit
Who should attend?

Those who have responsibility for championing or driving business improvement within the workplace or are involved in the implementation of new processes and new ways of working.

The event has been timed to ensure you are back in your workplace at lunchtime - starting at 8:30am with breakfast rolls, fruit and refreshments and finishing at 11:30am.
