With the manufacturing industry experiencing the highest distribution of cyberattacks worldwide throughout 2023, CeeD has been running a "Cyber Resilience in Manufacturing" programme, funded by CyberScotland, which aims to support the sector with mitigating risk and generating proactive awareness, across Scotland.
The project in its current phase is nearing completion, with several events already delivered, tapping into different themes within cyber security and digital technology. Ther final event in this phase is our popular TradingZone event with a digital and cyber theme which takes place at Barclays Eagle Labs in Glasgow on March 28th. Find out more.
We are also in the process of co-ordinating professional video case studies on this subject which will be shared on this page. If you’re in the CeeD network and have a good cyber story to share, please do get in touch with a member of the team.

CeeD's Cyber Awareness in Manufacturing Initiative
CeeD’s Cyber Awareness in Manufacturing programme strengthened understanding of cyber risks across Scotland’s manufacturing community. As the sector adopts more digital and connected technologies, the initiative helped make trusted cyber guidance more visible and accessible for businesses.
The programme delivered monthly cyber bulletins to more than 6,000 recipients, with total distribution exceeding 37,000. Each bulletin provided clear, practical advice that manufacturers could apply immediately to improve their cyber resilience. Engagement remained strong throughout, and feedback showed that companies valued both the relevance of the content and the ease of receiving guidance directly in their inboxes.
Alongside the bulletins, CeeD amplified cyber awareness through social media activity, industry events and collaboration with partners. The content reached more than 3,000 impressions on LinkedIn and was supported by participation in multiple cyber focused events.
The programme successfully met its objectives and contributed to raising awareness, improving understanding and encouraging stronger cyber resilience across Scotland’s manufacturing sector.
