Scottish Enterprise Roundtable discussion for Industry on Supply Chains & Competitiveness
CeeD are currently undertaking a study with Optimat, on behalf of Scottish Enterprise, relating to the Supply Chains and Competitiveness (SCC) workstream of Making Scotland’s Future: A Recovery Plan for Manufacturing.
The aim of this study is to enhance understanding of the High Value Manufacturing (HVM) supply chain support infrastructure in Scotland and, as a result, identify how best to optimise initiatives, projects and activities to support HVM supply chain development in Scotland.
The specific objectives of this piece of work are to:
- Identify supply chain actions, both current and in development, supporting HVM in Scotland
- Identify any actions that could be deemed duplication
- Identify any gaps in current provision
- Make recommendations for potential interventions to address both duplication and gaps in provision
It is extremely important to have the views, comments and input from the company base in Scotland to help inform this study. We are therefore asking for additional company input through registration and joining us for one of these sessions to help provide this industry viewpoint. You can read more in the following document and view the current supply chain initiatives here.
Can't make it? There is another session running on 16th September.
This consultation is intended for engineering and manufacturing companies operating across Scotland.
This event is part of the Advancing Manufacturing Cluster Builder programme which aims to have a significant impact on advancing the manufacturing capabilities of SMEs within Scotland, leading to long-term transformational change.
The Advancing Manufacturing Cluster Builder is part-funded by the 2014–2020 European Structural and Investment Fund.
