Understanding the whole manufacturing process

Scottish Enterprise
Houston House Hotel, Uphall, West Lothian, EH52 6JS
Thursday, November 20, 2014 - 07:30 to 09:30

This interactive breakfast event is designed to promote discussion, thoughts and questions among attendees around broader business processes and the impact these have on overall performance and effectiveness.

Why should you attend?

You're expanding a lot of time and effort in one part of your end to end process (the physical manufacture) but you're not seeing the improvements you would expect.

This event will discuss how viewing the business as whole - the end-to-end operation - manufacturers can start to create a culture of change and innovation in the front and back end manufacturing process.

You will hear from Hiel Farid UK Ltd., on why it engaged with SMAS, it's Lean journey experience to date and some of the issues currently impacting the business.  In addition, the session will provide the opportunity to demonstrate tools to aid understanding and improvement in key areas such as process, leadership and culture.

Who should attend?

The session is designed for business leaders with the ability to conceptualise the issues discussed for their own business, contribute to the discussion and influence change back in the business.

The event has been timed to ensure minimum time away from the workplace, starting at 7.30am with breakfast rolls, fruit, pastries and refreshments and finishing promptly at 9.30am, with lots of opportunity to ask questions and network.
