The technologically-advanced Scottish aquaculture industry already draws upon diverse engineering disciplines to produce high-quality food both sustainably and efficiently. Nonetheless, ongoing engineering innovation is sought in order to improve welfare and expand production to new sites.

The Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) is hosting a workshop on Wednesday 22nd June 2016, bringing together a cross-sector audience of producers, equipment suppliers and engineering specialists to help identify novel approaches to improve welfare and increase output volumes.
