Engaging your People through Change and Continuous Imrpovement

Scottish Enterprise
Dowar House, Kilmarnock
Friday, April 24, 2015 - 08:30 to 11:30

The event will outline what excellence in ‘Lean’ looks like, the application of the change model, the role of the leaders in the change process and the significance of process confirmation.

“Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it’s amazing what they can accomplish.” – Sam Walton, founder of WalMart

The event will take you through the change process and show how best to achieve sustainable change.

Why should you attend?

The rate of change in your business is slower than anticipated and the appetite for change isn’t quite what it should be. Any process changes achieved are often short lived and there is an expectation that these changes won’t be fully supported, with a consequential migration back to previous practices.

This workshop will help you understand the role of the Ayrshire Engineering Alliance and explain the role of the subsequent Lean Learning Academy (LLA), delivered by Gavin Whyte and the SMAS team. The LLA will offer the opportunity to integrate the tools and behaviours associated with a culture of continuous improvement, and deploy the learning with SMAS support focused on a specific improvement project. It’s a fantastic opportunity to find out how you and your workforce can work together in the best interests of the business.

The event has been timed to ensure you are back in your workplace at lunchtime, starting at 8:30am (including breakfast rolls, fruit and refreshments).
