Barony Universal Products pls
Thursday, February 12, 2015 - 08:30 to 11:30

The Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service is pleased to invite you to participate in a breakfast event focused on how to develop better ownership and involvement from your people in sustainable process improvement.  The event will be held a tBarony Universal Products plc in Irvine (KA11 5DJ) on Thursday 12th February from 8.30am to 11.30am.

Purpose

The event is aimed at outlining what excellence in 'Lean' looks like, the application of the change model, the role of the Leaders in the change process and the significance of process confirmation.

"Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self esteem of their personnel.  If people believe in themselves, it's amazing what they can accomplish" - Sam Walton - Founder WalMart

This event will take you through the change process and emphasise how best to achieve sustainable change.

Why should you attend?

The role of change in your business is slower than anticipated and the appetite for change isn't quite what it should be.  Any process changed achieved are often short lived and there is an expectation that these changed won't be fully supported with a consequential migration back to previous practices.

This workshop will help you understand the role of the Ayrshire Engineering Alliance and explain the role of the subsequent Lean Learning Academy (LLA), delivered by Gavin Whyte and the SMAS team.  The LLA will offer the opportunity to integrate the tools and behaviours associated with a culture of Continuous Improvement, and deploy the learning with SMAS support focused on a specific improvement project.

It's a fantastic opportunity to find out how you and your workforce can work together in the best interests of the business.

The event will also include an optional short site tour of Barony Universal's site.

Who should attend?

Those with people management responsibilities who are keen to secure a lighter level of ownership and engagement from their staff and who wish to clearly understand and better appreciate their own respective roles in the change process.

This event has been timed to ensure you are back iny your workplace by lunchtime, starting at 8.30am with breakfast rolls, fruit and rereshments and finishing at 11.30 with plenty opportunity to network.

The event is free of charge, with limited places, so please book early to avoid disappointment.  You can iether register via the link or by calling the team on 0845 607 8787.
