Business Breakfast Accelerating Business Growth by ‘Making Things Last’ A Circular Economy Approach

Zero Waste Scotland and the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS) are pleased to invite you to a breakfast event focused on learning more about the circular economy and how it relates to your business. The event will be held at the Technology Innovation Centre, Glasgow (G1 1RD) on Wednesday 23rd November from 8.00 to 10.30am.

Purpose

This breakfast event will introduce you to the circular economy from a manufacturing perspective and discuss what it could mean for your business, your supply chain and your long-term forecasting and planning process. It will also set out support available to businesses including the Circular Economy Investment Fund and the Circular Economy Business Service.

Guest speaker Sandy Rodger will set out how manufacturing businesses can make practical sense of the circular economy. Sandy is an engineer and business leader who held senior roles with Unilever and Diageo before joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in 2013 to lead project MainStream – a cross-industry initiative to accelerate business driven innovation in the circular economy.

Who should attend?

This event is aimed at managers, leaders and staff responsible for implementing operational plans and will also be of interest to design engineers and entrepreneurs.

The event has been timed to ensure minimum time away from the workplace, starting at 8.00am with breakfast rolls, fruit, pastries and refreshments and finishing promptly at 10.30am, with lots of opportunities to ask questions and network.
