The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) prides itself in having a long standing traditional of industrial partnership. With campuses in Paisley, Ayr, Hamilton and Dumfries, we can help industry benefit from the University''s research expertise, either through collaboration or the transfer of our knowledge via various initiatives, consultancy, and licensing.

The School of Engineering & Science brings together a unique mix of disciplines to offer flexible, career-focused courses and internationally recognised applied research.

The Microscale Research Group have expertise in device design and applications of Ultrasonics, Magnetics, and Optics.

The Thin Film Centre provides a unique service for industry and academia in the research and development of thin film properties and applications. The Centre is also interested in prototyping and smaller-scale production runs of existing and new thin film designs. Processes can be developed and transferred to even larger deposition chambers for large-scale production.
