Showcasing CeeD, Business and Academic Partnership Working

Earlier this week, we ran a networking event with new Sponsoring Member, University of Glasgow, at their new Advanced Research Centre (ARC).

The event was aimed primarily at the University of Glasgow academic community with alignment to the Manufacturing, Engineering,  showcasing what CeeD can offer and how the University and CeeD can best work together to create and enhance academic-industry collaboration.

This was a fantastic opportunity to share more about CeeD with the University, including our extensive events calendar & workshops, as well as knowledge exchange activities, site visits, expert clinics and Trading Zone.

Plus, core member benefits and CeeDucation opportunities, such as Growth500, Mentoring Mix-up, Leadership groups, Sow the Seeds and the new CeeD Academy.

Indeed, we have organised 34 events so far this year with 500+ attendees!

Gerry Docherty, MD at WEEE Scotland, also presented on the value the business has recieved from the CeeD and Academic introductions and connections. WEEE is now involved in research project work that includes the Royal Mint looking at the extraction of precious metals from printed circuit boards due to his initial introduction from CeeD.
