Bringing Together Industry Leaders From Across Scotland & The UK

The Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition, taking place at the SECC in Glasgow on the 13th October 2022, aims to  serve as a national forum for manufacturers and operators involved throughout the associated supply chains from across Scotland - to gather to discuss pressing issues facing the industry.

Come and see us on Stand E9 - you can't miss as us we're at the entrance as you come in!

The event in intended to connect key stakeholders across the full manufacturing spectrum in Scotland, including the food and drink, energy, renewables, electronics, aerospace, biopharma, medtech, healthcare, construction, textiles, procurement, and precision engineering sectors.

There are a number of Stages where you will be able to hear from industry experts and panelists. Come along to hear CeeD MD, Joe Pacitti, talking at the LEAN Manufacturing stage about peer-to-peer best practice sharing.

Using cutting edge XR – incorporating Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) – and digital visualisation, ADVS helps companies to innovate, develop skills and improve productivity. Experience VR for yourself!

  • Smart Hub Lanarkshire -  the Hub is a centre of excellence for manufacturing innovation and robotics, having been primarily established to support small to medium sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) in the Lanarkshire area and beyond. Learn how their Cobot (collaborative robot) can help your business!

  • AIMS - Advancing Innovative Manufacturing in the South of Scotland project supports SMEs in the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway regions and provides equipment to demonstrate the latest technologies and the capability to support development and PoC of new products and processes across three regional sites. See their digital printer in action!

  • Make It Smart Hub - The SMART Hub offers a range of free support to SMEs involved in the construction industry, including opportunities to explore innovation in practice, connect innovation and learn to stay ahead of the curve. Try out their laser scanner and AR!

  • MDMC - The Medical Device Manufacturing Centre supports SMEs to translate medical device concepts through to small batch commercial prototypes with assistance provided via specialist advice and technically supported access to state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Come see what their highly experienced inter-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists and clinicians (from Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh, Robert Gordon and Glasgow Universities) have helped to create!

Making the world's waste visible, verifiable and valuable

Ceed is working with leading ‘wastetech’ business Topolytics to drive efficiencies, measure impact and unlock the value of waste created in manufacturing and assembly businesses. A joint Topolytics/CeeD project with manufacturers in 2021 identified:

  • Poor data and visibility over waste material once it is removed by contractors.
  • Limited knowledge of what happens to their waste – but a desire to know.
  • The importance of reporting on waste to customers and other stakeholders.

We are addressing the challenge by giving manufacturers access to Topolytics’ expertise in managing and analysing data on waste – through the Topolytics data platform WasteMap.

Come along to our stand (E9) to learn more and speak directly to Topolytics CEO, Dr Michael Groves.
