Scott & Fyfe appoints North American distributor for innovative pipe technology

Scott & Fyfe, the Tayport-based employee-owned global technical textiles and advanced materials company, has strengthened its international presence through an exclusive partnership with a North American company to distribute its innovative composite pipe-lining technology.

From 1 January 2026, the multi-million strategic partnership will pair Scott & Fyfe’s long-standing reputation for engineering cutting-edge materials with Ottawa-based Waterline Renewal Technologies’ extensive distribution network and industry leadership across the United States of America and Canada.

AlphaShield is a durable, innovative pipe rehabilitation system designed to deliver a seamless, efficient, and long-lasting solution for pipeline restoration. Known as Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) technology, AlphaShield enables damaged pipeline infrastructure to be repaired without excavation or digging up of the pipe, thereby minimising disruption and extending the pipeline's lifespan. The end result is a seamless and durable “new” pipe that is highly resistant to leaks, cracks and wear and tear, all without disturbing the roads, landscape or walls above the pipe.

Michelle Quadrelli, Managing Director at Scott & Fyfe, said: “We’re delighted to announce our new distribution agreement with Waterline Renewal Technologies, appointing them as the sole distributor of AlphaShield products in the United States and Canada for a number of markets. Having worked closely with Waterline Renewal Technologies for several years, with over 40km of pipe liners shipped to the US each month, we know they bring deep product knowledge and a strong commitment to customer service. This formal partnership strengthens our ability to serve a wider and growing customer base with shorter lead times and more responsive local support, ensuring our customers receive the high-performance solutions they expect, with even greater efficiency and care. ”

“Here in Scotland, where the product is designed and manufactured, this partnership not only supports our longer-term growth and export plans, but is also a fantastic success story for Scottish manufacturing, building on over 160 years of history and heritage in Tayport, Fife.”

“Scott & Fyfe has set the standard for performance, reliability and innovation in fibreglass-based CIPP solutions,” said David Williams, CEO at Waterline Renewal Technologies. “This exclusive relationship is a powerful milestone for Waterline Renewal Technologies and underscores our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality products to contractors, municipalities and engineering firms across North America. With Scott & Fyfe’s advanced materials and our market-leading service, we are raising the bar for the entire trenchless rehabilitation industry.”

Scott & Fyfe’s 161-year history and technical expertise align seamlessly with Waterline Renewal Technologies’ mission to provide durable, cost-effective and future-ready infrastructure solutions. The collaboration further reinforces Waterline Renewal Technologies’ position as the most comprehensive provider of CIPP materials and systems in the U.S. and Canada.
Effective from 1 January 2026, Waterline Renewal Technologies will begin offering Scott & Fyfe’s full range of CIPP liner solutions for both mainline and lateral rehabilitation through its trusted brands.
