CeeD member, Dundee and Angus Collegehas been recognised with a top award.

The College’s Students’ Association has scooped a prestigious prize at this year’s SPARQS Awards in recognition of their outstanding contribution to student health and wellbeing during the pandemic.

The event was designed to showcase and celebrate some of the heroic and admirable ways in which staff and students have worked together to protect and enhance the learning experience.

The Students’ Association team impressed the judges with their creative, inclusive, and supportive initiatives which rapidly generated a thriving online community aimed at supporting students during one of the most challenging years ever.

Principal, Simon Hewitt said:

"We are immensely proud of our Students’ Association. The care, love and support they have provided our students over these challenging months has been truly remarkable. They epitomise everything that is Dundee & Angus College and deserve all of the recognition that this award brings."

Team Leader Sarah Rennie said:

"The pandemic has forced all of us to change and adapt quickly, but we love a challenge! Being responsive and inclusive to our students’ needs and putting them right at the heart of everything we do allowed us to co-create fun and engaging online communities for all. Using Service Design, we continuously updated our student support by actively engaging and listening to those who matter the most to us; our students themselves. We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised in this award and we dedicate it to our students for all the love and support they have shown each other along the way, our D&A Family!"

Congratulations from CeeD!
