NMIS (National Manufacturing Institute Scotland) are co-ordinating 30 funded graduate positions on behalf of the Scottish Government's National Transition Training Fund (NTTF).
These posts will be within SMEs (Small/Medium sized Enterprises), or in some cases in NMIS itself, for graduates in STEM subject areas.
The posts in SMEs will be with companies who are in a position to take on the graduate as a staff member after the initial 6 month funded period ends (where the placement has been successful and the candidates have proven themselves).
NMIS are currently looking for SMEs who are interested in this opportunity. The graduates shall be qualified in STEM subject areas, having graduated in 2019 or 2020 from a Scottish University and be over 25 years of age.
A graduate recruitment and short-listing event will be conducted by NMIS (details to be publicised via NMIS social media channels). The successful graduate shall become a University of Strathclyde employee for the initial 6 month placement.
Broad eligibility criteria:
- Applicants should be aged 25 or over* and struggling to find work within manufacturing
- Graduated recently in a STEM-related subject, and
- Reside in Scotland
*while priority will be given to candidates aged 25+, those under 25 may still apply to be considered.
