Our precision manufactured closed panel system has been refined over more than two decades and applied across more than 250 buildings, from one off private homes to affordable housing developments. Manufactured off site and assembled rapidly on location, it delivers exceptional accuracy, cost certainty and virtually zero waste. Working with twenty seven key suppliers, we have developed a fully integrated design and manufacturing process that ensures consistent quality.
Sustainability sits at the core of what we do. MAKAR homes are built using Scottish grown timber, a renewable material that locks away approximately one tonne of CO₂ for every cubic metre used. Short supply chains reduce transport emissions while supporting the Scottish economy. This fabric first approach is specifically developed for off site construction.
Our naturally insulated wall and roof panels create breathable building envelopes that allow vapour to escape while maintaining high levels of airtightness. We use dense, pumped in Warmcel insulation to enhance thermal performance and provide robust fire protection. Combined with carefully considered detailing, this prevents damp and mould and ensures our homes are built to last for multiple generations.
Designed for the Scottish climate, our homes incorporate advanced heating systems that deliver consistent comfort with exceptionally low running costs. Ongoing performance monitoring demonstrates how our approach keeps energy use and occupancy costs to a minimum.
