
The Design, Manufacturing & Engineering Management (DMEM) Industrial Projects scheme from University of Strathclyde enables companies to engage with the Department by setting project briefs for students and student teams.
As DMEM, their triple accredited five year integrated master’s programmes include Product Design Engineering (PDE), Product Design Innovation (PDI), Sports Design Engineering (SDE), and Manufacturing Engineering with Management (MEM). Industry sponsors engage through-
- Individual Projects by 4th or 5th year students,
- Industrial Group Projects
- Research master’s projects.
Many of the projects delivered by the students provide tangible cost savings in the £1000’s as well new product/service income generation to industry or public sector partners.
Participating companies have experienced a number of benefits:

Strathclyde have a new webpage to submit projects from clients. Projects received latest by mid-August typically stand a good chance to get taken for concept and solution proposals, beginning around October and delivered by the students by April/May the year following.
