The US Federal Trade Commission estimates the global market for counterfeit auto parts at approximately $12bn a year.  The unhealthy growth in the trade of fake auto parts not only leads to loss of revenue but carries risks to the safety of the end user and brand reputations - it has never been more important to take the best preventative measures.

Likewise, the electronics industry has recognised the important of protecting customers, intellectual property and brands and CCL Design has been a leading expert in providing labelling solutions to help identify genuine devices.  They have worked with brand owners to develop innovative ways to design labels, ranging from tamper-evident box seals to highly complex multi-layer authentication labels.

Decorative brand labels double as both identifiers and functional anti-counterfeit solutions.  Labelling, which is durable, highly engineered and tailored to match specific customer requirements includes both overt and covert security features built into the design.  Products must remain the easy to authenticate, but almost impossible to copy.

CCL products are designed, developed and manufactured within their secure facilities, ensuring all materials are closely controlled and as a result there have been no successful attempts at copying more advances products on the black market.

The next time you think of a label as purely decorative or informative, think how much it could save your business in revenue and reputation if it could also be used a security measure.
