You are invited to this CeeD member networking event on 25th April from 3pm through 4:30pm to hear from Ryan Hooper, winner of the 2024 CeeD Engaging Talent Award. The event will be held in Room 237A of the Advanced Research Centre (ARC) building which is part of the fabulous extension underway at the University of Glasgow on the former Western Infirmary site.
It is exactly this building that prompted Ryan to pose the question of “how best the University should continue its decarbonisation mission?..."
In an age where the “computer says no” has become a popular catch phrase, Ryan who was studying his undergraduate degree part-time whilst working in the estates department of the university had to balance what the data was saying, what the new build legislation was saying and where the University had already made significant investment. A trilemma indeed!
Join us to celebrate Ryan’s award, see inside this new facility, hear how Ryan’s research helped guide the future strategy and enjoy the company of the wider CeeD community
This is a CeeD member event but we welcome non-members along who wish to attend and hear more about CeeD
Like all CeeD events it is free of charge, but Ryan is completing a charity cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’ Groats about which he will tell us more so I’m sure there will be an opportunity to hear a bit about this and contribute a small donation if you wish. Depending on numbers there may be an opportunity afterwards to continue the blether somewhere nearby afterwards.
