CeeD are delighted to share a learning workshop opportunity aimed at developing value adding operational excellence thinking and fundamental improvement principles.  Hosted in Fort William at the Advancing Manufacturing Centre the workshop will take place on Wednesday 15th March 2023 from 9.15am to 12.30pm, and be delivered by the University of Strathclyde and the Manufacturing Skills Academy from NMIS.

The session will introduce related concepts such as the value proposition, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing as mechanisms to build a successful operational excellence strategy. Practical examples will be provided to help delegates gain a better understanding of what might be required to get started on the operational excellence journey.

The topics that will be covered include:

  • The need for change
  • Building a value proposition
  • Introduction to Operational Excellence
  • Six Sigma vs Lean Manufacturing
  • Improving organisational performance through measurement
