As firms grow, management teams are constantly trying to balance business challenges, and asking themselves: How can we keep our teams connected as we expand? Can we really grow our people along with the organisation? Are we sufficiently focussed on execution? Or is it all just a question of culture or process? Yet, the failure of successful firms is more often rooted in an entirely different arena – disruptive innovation. More specifically, how, and when, to adjust the balance of sustaining innovation and disruptive innovation. That will be the focus of our discussion today, sharing insights on this key perspective, a principal cause of the failure of successful firms.

Innovation & Growth Advisors (IGA) with their unique combination of practical experience across varied sectors and cutting-edge research, will focus on this perspective, presented by Nasira Bradley, their MD. She will illustrate why understanding innovation frameworks are key for management teams wishing to maintain the success of their firms. This approach demonstrates how IGA believes in helping firms “how-to-think” not “what-to-think”, developing tools to help firms navigate the tricky waters of success.

Nasira will be joined by David Pearson, Group Sustainable Development Director of Star Refrigeration Ltd., and a Director of Star Renewable Energy. David will be sharing Star’s transitions in innovation over the last 50 years, an example of a firm achieving and retaining success.

Open to all but especially useful for directors, department heads, project managers, and team leaders of firms facing their own growing pains.
