Glasgow,
What does Scotland's global future looks like from a digital manufacturing and sustainability perspective?
Join us on 6th September for our Digital Manufacturing Through A Greener Future event, to learn more - and what we must do as a nation to strive and stay competitive in the rapidly changing climate.
In Scotland, we are committed to net zero emissions by 2045 – a target date set earlier than many other countries. For the targets to be achieved it requires a huge change in consumer needs and industrial methodology.
Post the COP26 event in Glasgow, it has become very clear that sustainability is on everyone’s minds. We must realise that for a greener future in manufacturing we will need to consider more than just adopting Industry 4.0 and the development of a smart factory. There are many hidden challenges from a sustainability point of view.
One thing is true however - the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies are essential to the Scottish and wider UK manufacturing sector to be competitive globally in the 21st century.
This is an in-person event that will take place at the Technology Innovation Centre in Glasgow, in partnership with the Online Digital Manufacturing & Leadership CPD Programme (DML-CPD) and the Manufacturing Skills Academy from NMIS.
Registration will be open from 9.00am with tea/coffee and the event will then start at 9.30am prompt, finishing with lunch at noon.
