Growth in the New World - Mindset for Success
Please come and join us on Thu 30th Jun at University of Dundee (Dalhousie Building, room 2G13) from 9am to 12noon to participate in a fun, interactive, challenging and thought-provoking training session through inspiring and engaging experiences with Jamie McBrearty of YMindset.
Growth Mindset is simply the belief that our most basic abilities can improve, versus, a Fixed Mindset where people believe that they have a certain amount of ability and that's that!
Companies who teach mindset to their leaders, managers and employees believe that intelligence can be cultivated. This simple ideology develops staff who are more eager to learn, challenge themselves and have the freedom of experiment and stretch themselves resulting in a boost in performance and morale.
This session will develop an understanding of mindset theory and introduce delegates to practical tools to use with their teams to develop a growth mindset. Delegates will be supported to understand their own mindsets, change behaviours and attitudes where they want to, and so increase their chances of achieving their goals; it will guide them in a way that they can introduce this work to others; and through practical examples, it will give them a clear understanding of how they can apply growth mindset in a professional context in order to help those with whom they support.
Delegates will explore the links between mindset and the core business, the links between mindset, improvement and performance, before looking at how mindset links to coaching and leadership. They will also develop a deep understanding of mindset theory.
