Remanufacturing is the process of returning a used product to its original warrantable condition. It is a multi-billion pound industry with rapid growth in current times due to the world wide aim in cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

In Scotland, we are committed to net zero emissions by 2045 – a target date set earlier than many other countries. For the targets to be achieved it requires a huge change in consumer needs and industrial methodology.

Remanufacturing is one of the key drivers to make this possible. Utilising remanufacturing techniques effectively can generate huge savings in industrial emissions and cost in comparison to brand new products.

Join us on 10th May for our Remanufacturing Masterclass, to learn about the basics of remanufacturing including its benefits and the typical steps of the process. Remanufacturing examples will be presented, highlighting the savings in cost, emissions and lead times.

This is a hybrid in-person/virtual event. The in-person event will take place at the Technology Innovation Centre in Glasgow, commencing at 9.00am for registration and tea/coffee. The masterclass will then start at 9.30am prompt.

For those wishing to attend virtually, please email Jane at CeeD.

Attendees will gain access to leading experts in remanufacturing, find out how to access further support and training and hear from Scottish companies who are already putting this into practice.

The event will be hosted by the the Online Digital Manufacturing & Leadership CPD Programme (DML-CPD) and the Manufacturing Skills Academy from NMIS with sessions delivered by Dr Abdul Ahmad from NMIS, the University of Strathclyde’s Dr David Butler from CeeD current and past winners of the CeeD Industry Remanufacturing award, EGG Lighting and Renewable Parts.
