The Edinburgh Guarantee has been set up to help young citizens, from all backgrounds, across the city to be able to easily access and progress in fair work, training or further education. Since its inception is 2011, it has had a positive track records supporting young people into positive destinations across Edinburgh. The offering is now evolving to provide an offering for all facing barriers in the city. This employer led initiative will play a key part in the cities recovery as we emerge from the pandemic.
The Edinburgh Guarantee isn’t a -one size fits all- approach. We want to support employers to pledge what they can. Opportunities you offer can range from paid employment to supporting young people to build employability skills. During this session you will find out more about:
- The Edinburgh Guarantee principles and how employers can get involved
- Which groups are facing the most barriers across the city currently
- What recruitment and funding support is available to employers
- An overview of the employability landscape in the city including Young Persons Guarantee, Kick start and other programmes
There will also be a Q&A session for employers as part of this briefing.
