*Life after Lockdown and The Art of the Possible with Digital Technologies –

CeeD, Opportunity North East and Booth Welsh invite you to join us on

Wed 30th Sep’20 via webinar (MS Teams) at 10.00 -11.15am

As companies globally reframe their world on the exit from COVID-19 lockdown and continue to the future state of the “new normal”, the list of challenges prior to the global pandemic remain and a few others have been added.

Booth Welsh (BW) alongside our partner brand, iTech, are recognised as premier organisations in the delivery of practical Industry 4.0 solutions.  We are continually developing our capability and capacity for the current & future needs of the sectors that we operate in.  BW have recently won several awards in this area including the Digitalisation Award at the EIC Survive & Thrive annual event and ‘Best Use of Technology’ at the British Chambers of Commerce last year.

This session we will share our knowledge & experience of industrial digitalisation as well as providing a practical insight into what can be achieved now and going forward.  We will showcase specific case studies on businesses within the Food & Drink sector who have successfully embraced new technologies and are now reaping the rewards.

Join this session for insightful and interactive demos where we will attempt to stimulate thinking and highlight some real, practical use cases addressing several key themes/challenges, such as:

Productivity Gain – getting more out of your assets (people and plant)

  • Remote monitoring – during and post Covid19
  • Increase the output of existing assets
  • Effectiveness of new technology and low-cost tech

Environmental impact

  • Remote operation & service – less carbon footprint & travel to site
  • Remote support - instant access to the 'expert', immediate solutions, less downtime

Manage the skills challenge using VR & AR technology

  • More centralised expertise to draw upon / shared resource?
  • Faster skills development with digital twin and training capability
  • Embedded tacit knowledge - best operator, always make the right decisions
  • Safe training and upskilling without travel
