Half Day Intro to Design Thinking

This dynamic and practical workshop is part of V&A Dundee’s Design for Business programme.

Through practical activities, you will gain first-hand experience of some of the design-led approaches and tools that can be applied to your business challenges. The workshop will be led by Catherine Docherty who has extensive experience in helping businesses unlock the value of design in simple, practical ways.

No design experience is necessary as the workshop is a hands-on introduction to Design Thinking and how design process can be used to help your business innovate.  Just come along with an open mind and let us show you how design can be a powerful catalyst for innovation in your business.

Catherine Docherty has extensive experience as a researcher and consultant in the fields of design and innovation for over 20 years. Catherine has worked with senior management in government, public sector and industry, and has directed and successfully delivered a range of national and international projects and publications, many of which are leading edge, relating to strategic aspects of design, innovation and sustainability.  Catherine draws on her experience in academia, the public sector and commercial practice, to facilitate a co-creative approach to help organisations make the most effective use of design and innovation resources.  Clients include the BBC, the British Council, the Design Council, the NHS, the Scottish Government, Scottish Water, Police Scotland, and Standard Life.
