Progressive Innovation - the journey from being aware of innovation concepts and basic techniques to embedding it and making it a key part of how you do business
Almost every organisation, regardless of industry sector or size, faces more competition than ever before. Competitors can copy and develop offerings more easily and more rapidly than ever before. Customer expectations, fuelled and informed by instant access to relevant information, are more demanding than ever before. We hear phrases like "we are overly reliant on fading revenue streams, "we are not sure our current business model is sustainable”, "we need to focus on growth not just efficiency”. Does this sound familiar?
Innovation has become a key tool in helping organisations achieve sustainable profitable growth. Research has shown that where it is properly implemented it can have a significant impact not only on profits, but also morale. This half-day session will focus on what innovation is, the key issues around implementing innovation successfully as well as touching on some of the key mistakes organisations make. We will discuss why innovation is important, types of innovation, touch on selected tools and techniques and achieving self- sufficiency.
