Implementing Lean – Putting Theory into Practice, in partnership with Fife Economy Partnership & St. Andrews Lean Consulting

An interactive Lean tools and techniques Clinic

The transition from theory to practice, in any domain, can be a challenging one, but especially so with regards to Lean and process improvement. In this interactive session, St Andrews Lean Consulting will take you through a series of simulations and lessons learnt, so that you can break down the barriers to implementing Lean in your organisation.

This session is suitable for everyone, no matter their experience or knowledge of Lean, and will cover a brief introduction to the Lean basics and how we do things here in St Andrews. We’ll run through a selection of successes that will highlight just how powerful a well-implemented Lean programme can be, and discuss how we overcame the challenges.

We’ll also address some of the concerns that we often hear; mainly that Lean is overly difficult, time-consuming, and just for manufacturing (and not for service-based operations). We aim to show you, with the help of our inter-active sessions, that Lean is both simple and quick, and fun!

At the end of the session you’ll go away with an understanding of how versatile and applicable Lean can be, and with the resources to boost engagement in Lean in your organisation.
