The way businesses buy has changed. More and more B2B buyers research, compare and place orders online long before they ever speak to a salesperson. The businesses that make that easy are winning the work. The UK B2B ecommerce market for physical goods is expected to exceed $150.9 billion in 2026, growing at a CAGR of >17% between 2024 and 2030.
Whether you're not yet selling online or you're ready to scale what you've already built, the opportunity is significant. This programme is designed to help you take it.
Who should attend
This event is tailored for Founders, Managing Directors, Sales Directors, and Heads of Marketing.
It is designed for B2B businesses with an appetite to grow and scale their ecommerce capabilities. The series will be suitable for companies completely new to trading online, as well as those seeking to expand an established online offering.
What is this Kick-Off Event?
Rather than delivering an off-the-shelf course, this initial session is an interactive roundtable designed to bring interested companies together to understand exactly what you need, so that we can build the rest of the programme around it.
By attending this session, you will help shape a bespoke 5-to-6-month masterclass series. We want to know your questions and reservations about B2B ecommerce, and pinpoint the exact areas where you feel you need support and advice.
To get you thinking, these are the kinds of areas we can cover — and you'll help us prioritise:
- Where to start with B2B ecommerce: winning new customers, growing existing ones, and driving operational efficiency
- Choosing the features and functionality that matter most to your customers – what are their needs?
- Finding the right platforms and partners to work with
- Setting and tracking KPIs to measure performance and prove ROI
What comes next
The kick-off leads into a series of around five or six monthly sessions. These will be masterclasses, talks and practical workshops led by guest speakers and industry experts, shaped by what you tell us at this first meeting.
Why come
It's fully funded by CeeD and Scottish Enterprise, so there's no cost to attend. You'll be together with like-minded businesses facing the same decisions, sharing what works, and you'll help design a programme built around real needs rather than a generic curriculum.
Your host is Al Conroy, one of Scotland’s most experienced B2B ecommerce consultants who spent nine years as an owner-operator, building an online business from scratch into the UK's largest online retailer in its sector, shipping to over 90 countries. He now advises B2B and D2C businesses on growing online, and will be joined by guest speakers and industry experts throughout the series.
