Interational Women in Engineering Day: “How Do We Widen the Conversation?”

Join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking session as we explore how to make the engineering industry more inclusive and representative of the world we live in.

Spotlight Conversation with Joyce Onuonga

We’re thrilled to welcome Joyce Onuonga of John Whyte & Son, winner of the CeeD Women in Industry Award 2025. Joyce will sit down with Arthian to share her journey as a trailblazing leader in industry and her powerful work in championing women’s participation in engineering. Her story is one of resilience, leadership, and impact.

Panel Discussion: Broadening the Dialogue

In past WiE sessions, we’ve seen incredible engagement from women across the sector—but there’s been a noticeable absence of men. As men still make up the majority of engineering roles and leadership positions, their voices and actions are crucial to driving change. This panel will explore how we can bring more men into the conversation—so they can better understand the challenges women face and become active allies in creating a more diverse and equitable workplace.

Intersectionality in Engineering

Diversity isn’t one-dimensional. We’ll also dive into the unique barriers faced by women of Colour, neurodiverse women, LGBTQ+ women, and women from working-class backgrounds. How can we ensure that no woman is left behind in the push for progress? Let’s talk about what true inclusion looks like—and how we can get there together.
