Join us for the first of four empowering Women in Engineering events!
Our mission is to create a safe and supportive network to address the under-representation of women in the engineering industry. This event is open to everyone who wants to contribute to this important cause.
19th November
10am - 1pm
CodeBase, Edinburgh
Kathleen Harkins, People Development Consultant and Coach, will facilitate our first workshop on Leading, Mentoring and Coaching: Similarities and Differences. This engaging workshop is focused on leadership development: supporting leaders to develop mentoring and coaching skills. This toolset will help with further sessions of the network, to make it a collaborative and group-led network.
Then we will form focus groups to explore Barriers to Leadership for Women
In this interactive session, we will explore the challenges women face in attaining leadership roles within the engineering field. Participants will collaborate to identify practical solutions to overcome these barriers, fostering a more inclusive and equitable industry.
The event will conclude with a lunch and networking session, providing an opportunity for attendees to connect, share experiences, and build valuable professional relationships.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a transformative movement in engineering!
This network is open to anyone in the industry - you do not have to be female and you do not have to be an engineer. We encourage anyone who wishes to make the sector more gender balanced to come along.
