We would like to extend a warm invitation for you to join us on Tue 13th Aug’24 from 9:30am to 11:45am for a discussion on the expected employment law changes later this year.

Venue: Utili-Tay, Johnston Building, Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, Baldovie Road, Dundee, DD4 8UQ.

Kate will be looking at the Labour party’s employment related legislative and policy plans for its first months in government, including:

  • Changes to rules on employment claims covering qualifying periods, time periods for claims, and compensation
  • New rules to promote equality, including enhanced protection for pregnant staff, and extended family and carers leave
  • Promotion of trade union involvement in workplaces and of sectoral collective bargaining.

Kate will discuss the practicalities of the proposals and how they are expected to be implemented in practice, along with suggestions on preparing for change.

We invite you to be part of the discussion so please register today.
