Breakfast Briefing: Industrial Applications of Data Analytics and Machine-Learning

This Business Breakfast event will be held in partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) & we have invited Dr Gordon Morison, from Glasgow Caledonian University to attend.

This is a DataFest2018 Fringe event, part of a week-long series hosted by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) & is open to all.

Dr Gordon Morison will rapidly review three current projects that employ data analytics and/or machine learning in industry applications. These projects are focused on solutions for:

1. Predictive maintenance of live equipment
2. Visual inspection for structural maintenance
3. Supply chain optimization using sensors and machine-learning

The aim is to provide a general overview as to what is meant by the terms Data Analytics and Machine Learning, and to provide a number of case studies.
