Controlling airborne contaminants at work – Understanding requirements under Regulations 9 and 10 of COSHH

There are many reasons why managing indoor air quality in workplaces is inadequate, or missing completely. Issues can include a lack of understanding of the risk of exposure to hazardous substances, difficulties in managing contaminants and lack of knowledge in the design of engineering controls (e.g. LEV).

This seminar will assist you to understand your responsibilities and show you how to identify and implement effective controls. Experts with experience of Occupational Hygiene and LEV design will deliver this Clinic and will cover the following topics:

  • Effective occupational Hygiene/Monitoring.
  • Health Surveillance under COSHH.
  • Developing and managing your engineering controls (e.g. LEV)
  • Relationship to other EHS requirements (e.g. environmental permitting)
