We are delighted to welcome you to the next in our series of Energy Clinics in conjunction with the Energy Technology Partnership and University of the West of Scotland on Wednesday 25th October at University of the West of Scotland, Paisley

Please join us from 09.30 for tea/coffee and registration before the session commences at 10.00.

The event will highlight the opportunity for Scottish SMEs to collaborate directly with Scottish academics on innovative projects within the low carbon energy sector.

Through the Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN), ETP can support SMEs to connect with universities and fund projects to the tune of £20,000.  Support is provided across seven thematic areas: Energy Conversion and Storage; Energy Systems; Energy Utilisation in Buildings; Heat Energy; Power Networks and Grid Technologies; Marine Energy and Wind Energy.

If you represent a Scottish SME and would like to know more about how you could access these academic facilities, why not come along and join us.  You will hear about the ETP funding scheme and meet some of the University's academics and ETP representatives who will be able to assist you with your technology needs.

During this event, UWS academics will present 4 case studies showing collaboration across a wide range of industries:

  • Design and optimisation of a tidal turbine (in collaboration with Linell Renewables)
  • Design and optimisation of a hydrogen cell (in collaboration with Peak Scientific)
  • Optimisation of mico algae cultivation conditions (in collaboration with Xanthello)
  • Recovering waste energy in a restaurant (in collaboration with Chin Chin)
