REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry.
Come and join us for an informative event on REACH and Europe - what this means for your chemcial and life science business and what support is available. You will hear directly from the experts at Enterprise Europe Network Alsace, the export department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Alsace, who will discuss the concept and scope of REACH, the latest registration updates and the impacts that this will have for Scottish companies, particularly for exporting chemicals.
The regulation has an impact on most companies across the EU. In principle, REACH applies to all chemical substances; not only those used in industrial processes but also in our day-to-day lives, for example in cleaning products, paints as well as in articles such as clothes, furniture and electrical appliances.
A networking lunch will be provided following the presentations and you will also have the opportunity to book a 1:1 session on the day with any of our speakers to find out how they can support your business.
