Process Safety - A precaution or a necessity?

Process safety comprises a blend of engineering, risk assessment and management techniques focusing on the prevention of major incidents with the potential to cause harm, such as fire, explosion, chemical release and loss of plant/equipment integrity. While more commonly associated with high-hazard industries, a number of these techniques can be applied effectively across the wider manufacturing and engineering sector to support businesses in protecting their employees, reduce environmental impact and strengthen legal compliance.

This introductory workshop, presented by Paul Young of Mabbett will aim to outline some common process safety tools and techniques, and offer practical advice on how these can be applied to your business to help reduce risk. The workshop will also include discussion of real-life project case studies looking at the consequences of poor process safety, and provide an overview of current legislative requirements and standards.

Please note : this event has changed location and will now be hosted within 'Hello Digital' within Highlands and Islands Enterprise, An Lochran, 10 Inverness Campus, Inverness, IV2 5NA.
