The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA), and the Driving the Electric Revolutiion - Industrialisation Centre, Scotland and CeeD have partnered to bring you this face-to-face event at The University of the West of Scotland, Lanarkshire campus. There will be opportunities to meet with and hear how to access DASA funding, and find out what the DER-IC can offer as well as sign-up on the day for one to one meetings with both as well as representatives of the Supply Chain Aerospace initiative Supply Chain Aerospace – AMCB (advancingmanufacturing.co.uk)
The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) finds and funds innovation for a safer future. DASA is a cross-Government team from a wide range of backgrounds including defence, security, the private sector and academia. At this event, DASA will provide information about the funding opportunities offered, how to apply and the business support offered.
DASA offers 100% funding and does not take a portion of an innovators IP nor any equity in their company; the funding is eligible for R&D Tax Credit. DASA also offers an Access to Mentoring and Finance (A2MF) service.
DASA's Innovation Partner in Scotland (Dr Debra Carr) and the A2MF Partner for Scotland (Anis Mourad) will brief CeeD members on DASA, its funding streams and services and how to apply.
There will feature plenty of opportunities for networking, plus 1 to 1s with Debra or Anis to discuss your ideas and business.
The Driving the Electric Revolution Industrialisation Centre – Scotland, is a part of the national network of Driving the Electric Revolution Industrialisation Centres. The centre specialises in High Power and High Integrity PEMD up to MW-scale, systems integration & validation, manufacturing prototype and scale Up as well as MW-scale systems testing. The centre is focussed on supporting the development of technology and supply chain for Aerospace, Rail, Off-Highway, Heavy Duty Vehicles, Marine, Energy and Industrial sectors.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Due to covid restrictions, there is a limit of 49 places.

The Supply Chain Aerospace initiative supports SMEs to improve their productivity and competitiveness through the introduction of innovative manufacturing technologies via the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS). It also works with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier One suppliers to identify supply chain opportunities for SMEs to join the aerospace and space sectors, or grow their contribution. Like its sister project Aerospace Digital Visualisation Suite, the services of Supply Chain Aerospace are available to eligible SMEs at no charge.
