Eden Campus Industry Club

Monthly Industry Club, run by University of St Andrews Eden Campus project.

The Industry Club is an opportunity for companies involved in energy-related activity to work closely with the University of St Andrews, to have access to the latest research and developments, and to shape the direction of the University’s new Centre for Energy Storage and Conversion, at Eden Campus.

Run monthly to enable companies to talk about what they are doing in the green energy space, these events are for business' working in a broad range of sectors, including:

  • Battery development and battery systems
  • Hydrogen energy systems
  • Low-Carbon mobility
  • Electricity production, distribution and storage

The Industry Club is hosting their second workshop on the 24th February, 1-2pm. The two invited speakers are:

  • Tom Rose, Impact Solutions.  
    • Tom will present an overview of Impact Solutions capabilities, company history in the battery space and current and past projects relating to the strategy and sustainability of lithium ion batteries. 
  • Ben Todd, Arcola Energy.  
    • Ben will present Arcola’s approach to modelling, developing and deploying hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Considering customer requirements, market dynamics and refuelling infrastructure, as well as engineering and compliance considerations in rapidly expanding vehicle types.

The Eden Project is one of the 12 AMCF (Advancing Manufacturing Challenge Fund) projects whose aim is to have a significant impact on advancing the manufacturing capabilities of SMEs within Scotland, leading to long-term transformational change.

CeeD was awarded the contract (by Scottish Enterprise on behalf of Scottish Government and Highlands and Islands Enterprise) to manage the Advancing Manufacturing Cluster Builder programme which includes creating awareness of and referring SMEs to the AMCF projects for free support, as well as running our own events programme.

The Advancing Manufacturing Cluster Builder is part-funded by the 2014–2020 European Structural and Investment Fund.
