Facilitated by Dr Jim Hamill CEO, Leading Digital at Smartcrowds, and featuring on the panel our CeeD MD, Joe Pacitti, this forum will draw on the audiences responses to a pre-event survey and the panellists experiences to answer the following questions:

  • To what extent do organisations struggle to drive transformation efforts across the entire workforce due to the lack of ownership of change and innovation initiatives amongst key leaders and influencers at departmental, functional, and regional levels?
  • To what extent does poor visibility of the progress of ideas in organisations lead the wider workforce to feel disenfranchised and cynical about leadership’s stated desires for involvement and empowerment?
  • To what extent are the desires of organisations to achieve greater involvement and empowerment undermined by perceived favouritism during idea selection, where only ideas submitted by managers and more senior members of staff are seen to be progressed?
  • To what extent do organisations find it difficult to identify, select, and pursue the “best” ideas, leading to little or no progress on submitted ideas, and engendering frustration and disenfranchisement with innovation programmes amongst the workforce?
  • To what extent do efforts by organisations to engage the wider workforce to contribute ideas for change initiatives run out of steam because they rarely receive genuinely breakthrough ideas which inspire excitement and energy across the organisation?

The panel will also discuss to what extent changed ways of working have affected organisations thinking in these areas and whether digital empowerment might not only replicate previous innovation efforts and outcomes but could actually improve them?

We hope that you will be able to join us, if not you can still register and we will send a recording.
