Our lead facilitators are James Bruce Johnston, a Lecturer in Management Information and New Technology, School of Business and Enterprise and Michele Cano. Head of Division. Engineering.
James specialises in the strategic opportunities and challenges presented by new technology. He collaborates with colleagues from other disciplines and is currently working with local firms on manufacturing, sustainability, digital transformation and strategic marketing projects.
Michele is an experienced academic with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education and the manufacturing sectors. Head of Division, Engineering. A mechanical and manufacturing engineer specialising in quality management, lean manufacturing and project management. Skilled in Lecturing, Curriculum Development, Public Speaking, Consultancy and Training, and Academic Writing. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused on Lean Manufacturing from the University of the West of Scotland. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
