Biochar: Battling Climate Change event aims to raise awareness of Biochar to non-scientist and industries. The now named ‘Climate Crisis’ is currently a hot topic with businesses all across Scotland striving to meet the government 2050 targets. Biochar could be the answer in mitigating climate change through carbon capture and storage. In this respect, public understanding, use and promotion could help biochar enter the wider market. In order to encourage a Circular Economy, attendees may be interested in providing feedstocks to stop useful material going to land fill. The greater understanding could help public devote resources and time to Biochar. As a result Biochar can become an effective climate mitigation tool.
