How to Strengthen Leadership, Culture and Performance Across Your Organisation

As organisations face relentless change, technological disruption and increasing pressure to perform, leadership capability throughout the organisation is becoming increasingly critical.

Yet many organisations still rely heavily on a relatively small number of senior leaders, while managers promoted for their technical expertise are expected to somehow make the transition from expert to leader.

This practical, interactive workshop explores how senior leaders can build greater leadership depth across their organisation, creating the alignment, empowerment, accountability and culture required to perform in a changing world.

Is this workshop relevant to your organisation? Ask yourself: to what extent can your leaders...

  • Translate strategy into clear priorities, common purpose and aligned action?
  • Break down silos and create genuine cross-functional collaboration?
  • Make decisions at the right level and hold one another accountable without everything escalating upwards?
  • Motivate people, develop talent and successfully transition technical experts into effective leaders?
  • Maintain clarity, resilience and execution when priorities shift and pressure increases?

And perhaps the bigger question: Has your organisation genuinely developed leaders, or have you promoted your best technical experts and expected them to figure leadership out?

What we'll explore

The workshop brings together current leadership research from Gartner, McKinsey, Deloitte and Gallup with practical experience of the leadership challenges occurring inside engineering, manufacturing and technical organisations.

We will explore five interconnected challenges:

  • Clarity & Alignment - turning strategy into clear priorities, aligned decisions and focused execution across the business.
  • Collaboration & Culture - breaking down silos and creating a culture where teams work collectively for the performance of the whole business.
  • Empowerment & Accountability - building leadership depth so decisions happen at the right level, without creating dependency on the senior team.
  • Engagement & Capability - developing the leadership capability, ownership and talent needed to sustain performance and future growth.
  • Adaptability & Execution - building an organisation capable of responding to change, uncertainty and technological disruption without losing focus or performance.

Throughout the workshop, participants will also explore the three human intelligences that underpin sustainable leadership performance: Emotional, Motivational and Adversity Intelligence, and how these influence leadership behaviour, culture and performance under pressure. Your existing document already defines these three clearly.

What you'll leave with

Participants will leave with practical strategies for identifying leadership constraints within their organisation and strengthening leadership depth, culture, accountability and execution.
