About the host

Stephen Whitelaw is a highly energetic person who combines a solid educational and technical background, with 40+ years of business experience in the starting and growing of numerous businesses including Buchanan International Limited and Actis Technology Limited.

After completing his first degree in pure mathematics, he spent 1 year writing games in the computer industry, and then decided to return to University where he obtained a Masters degree in computing. This led to becoming a member of staff at the University of Glasgow, where Stephen lectured in computing for three years.

Deciding to expand his horizons, Stephen took a year out of teaching to travel around the world, which led him to San Francisco in 1989. Finding the energetic environment of Silicon Valley suited him, Stephen decided to make use of his skills and founded Buchanan International Inc. In recent years Stephen has travelled extensively delivering consultancy, keynotes and workshops on digital marketing & technology strategies to many of the largest corporations in the world including both Google and Microsoft.
