In partnership with The Knowledge Transfer Network, Abertay University and CeeD we are delighted to welcome you to our next Innovation event: – Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) - Opportunities and Success Stories on Thursday 18th Oct’18 at Abertay University, Bell Street, Dundee DD1 1HG from 9:30am for registration, starting at 10am and closing by 1pm.  A complimentary networking lunch will be provided.

Innovation can be key to accelerate a business to the next level.  A company may have an innovative idea or challenge that they believe will lead to increased productivity and business growth, but they lack the skills or expertise to develop it.  A KTP program may be the perfect solution.  Having run for over 40 years, the Knowledge Transfer Partnership is Europe’s leading program to help businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through better use of knowledge, technology and skills.  A KTP will link a company to a knowledge base (either a University or a Research Organisation) and a capable graduate or post graduate will be recruited to deliver the project, guided by a team of academic experts.

Innovate UK is part of UK Research and Innovation, the new organisation that will ensure the UK maintains its world leading position in research and innovation.  Innovate UK will continue to focus on accelerating business-led innovation through grants, loans and connectivity. The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is a key partner of Innovate UK. The KTN links new ideas and opportunities with expertise, markets and finance through our network of businesses, universities, funders and investors.  From agri-food to autonomous systems and from energy to design, KTN combines in-depth knowledge in all sectors with the ability to cross boundaries.

Join us to hear the latest updates from Richard Lamb and Dr Lorna Howarth, who will describe how Innovate UK and The Knowledge Transfer Network are keen to provide technical and financial support for local businesses.  Malcolm Woods from Ivan Wood and Sons and Brian Frame from Rautomead will share their success stories, detailing how KTP proved transformative for their business.
