DESCRIPTION:CeeD is supporting a Glasgow City Region project t
 hat is exploring innovation related skills across 
 engineering and manufacturing. The project aims to
  build a clearer picture of current capability\, f
 uture demand and where skills gaps may be emerging
 . It also looks at how organisations currently acc
 ess these skills\, including internal development\
 , recruitment\, external specialists and engagemen
 t with colleges and universities.\n \n As part of 
 this work\, we are hosting a roundtable with engin
 eering and manufacturing organisations from across
  the region. The session will gather practical ins
 ight into how innovation happens within businesses
 \, the strengths that already exist and the areas 
 where further development would make the greatest 
 difference.\n \n Discussion themes will include:\n
  &bull\; Experiences of innovation within engineer
 ing and manufacturing settings\n &bull\; Skills th
 at support successful innovation activity\n &bull\
 ; Common strengths and recurring areas for develop
 ment\n &bull\; Barriers that limit innovation capa
 bility\n &bull\; Differences or similarities acros
 s organisations\n &bull\; What companies feel they
  need most in order to innovate effectively\n \n T
 he session is designed to be conversational and re
 flective\, drawing on real experience from across 
 the sector. Insight gathered will directly support
  the wider project and help shape future activity 
 across the Glasgow City Region.
